I’ve been thinking a lot about whether I should choose the path to breeding. I asked myself questions like: “Can I carry the responsibility for “my” puppies and their owners for the dog’s whole life?”, “Am I brave enough to go this way although it will probably be exhausting and full of stony parts?” But I couldn’t stop thinking about it, also because I’m very convinced of my dog Flo. She is an RR-Lady with a fantastic solid character that comes from interesting lines and responsible breeding hands. This heritage ought to live on in Flo’s puppies. After careful consideration I decided to go on this path.
At the end of August we set off to visit Leo and his family. We received a very warm welcome and Flo and Leo liked each other right from the beginning. -
Leo is a wonderful male with an absolutely easy-going, friendly character and a special charisma. He is from the well-known kennel “Delle Cime Bianche” from Giovanna Baccini Carr. Leo lives with Alessio, Annamaria and their two children near Milan. We spent a harmonious time in the warm and sunny Bella Italia.
Only after a short time back home, Flo showed the first signs of a change. She slept a lot, had no appetite, wanted to be cuddled all the time and her body got a bit rounder. I was sure that she carried puppies. The scan on the 21 September confirmed what I had already guessed: my Flo will be a mum. We are looking forward to this new experience, a good pregnancy and a lot more.
Life can be sooo exciting! Again we are right at the beginning of our exciting journey...
